Geez, I really hope next year the convention will head east…Pittsburgh maybe????

Wow…what a find. Imagine Sam Harris agreeing with “phreedm”…

Dave’s not going to like this one…

WARREN: Why isn’t atheism more appealing if it’s supposedly the most intellectually honest?

HARRIS: Frankly, it has a terrible PR campaign.

Everyone agrees of course that most Americans are not dumb. Well, it turns out to be a close call as this latest poll from Newsweek shows.

    http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/17875540/site/newsweek/

78% are bozos who think that god made humans in a few days or think that it intervenes in evolution. Only 13% have a clue about the science.

62% against 29% say they would not vote for an atheist candidate, even though 68% say that an atheist can be a moral person.

In other words, there are around thirty percent who would not vote for an atheist even though they think he/she is a moral person.

Welcome to the USA–United Stupids of America.

Dave, I hope you guys have a great time! I’d love to catch up with you a the greater czarina at some point. We’re planning on going to Freakgirl’s christmas party this year. We’re also planning on having our halloween party, so put it on your calendar now!

I will gladly go to the Convention next year if it’s in the east or midwest. The Pacific Coast is just too far away for me.

This is a site that shows the work of my son’s
girlfriend’s cousin. His Name is Nicholas Schleif.

I think it is some pretty cool stuff and he has some
interesting descriptions of each piece. One in particular expressing his loss of faith.

So I am just sharing with those who I think might
    appreciate it.

    Enjoy, I did.

What…no complaints of hijacking a thread…? I guess those honors are reserved for me…

Spanders…you’re going to have trouble with some of his art…

    Glad you guy’s liked it.

why would I have trouble with his art? I think you’re eluding to the depiction of a fetus as if that would somehow offend me. Just because I’m pro choice does not mean I don’t like fetus, babies or children. You take jabs at me that don’t make much sense to me. You seem to think that I’m pro choice because of money. If you were a republican and went to republican events and got to be known and they asked you to do work for them, would it make sense for someone to say you’re a republican because of the money? Then you think that by adding “thirty pieces of silver” you’re being clever and biting, but I think it’s just sad that you think that’s an effective argument. If you’re going to make attacks, at least make sense.

    Spanders,

I always appreciate your comments, as they are well thought out, articulate and measured. Just for your information, I do not respond to the blog idiot as he has demonstrated time and time again his irrationality on many levels. So I just do not engage him as it is futile.
