Phreedm…
Are you some kind of idiot?
How does the AA “force its beliefs” on America?
You’re an idiot.
You have a lot to learn, but you seem to stupid. I think we’ve had discussions before.. you’re a “hit and run” theist. You don’t think.
Mushukyou
“You don’t think” is the short definition of a Christian.
phreedm is not stupid he is working for what he believes in.we can’t change religious right view of us if we don’t talk to people in the religious right.be patient this is a long road we are on.
reason: “working for what he believes in”? Are we really expected to give a rats crap? Who cares? Also, who ISN’T working for what we believe? Why do you give so much credit and leverage to the likes of that contrary, argumentative, and rude self-appointed upstart? “be patient this is a long road”? Why not speak for yourself, reason, and realize that after 2 millenia of the damned crap some of us have had more than enough no matter what ANYBODY wants to debate, claim, excuse, or damned add to the bullshit. “we can’t change the religious right”..Well again who give a contemplated damned crap. They are not only welcome to be that damned stupid but they may also go to their damned hell of THEIR making! If you object, you and anyone else who wants to cowtow and kiss their damned asses can join them!
I will have to disagree with you here reason. New people (and I was once one) always begin by engaging him in debate only to discover that he is devoid of anything approaching logic or reason. They are shocked by the egregious nonsense he offers, yet they are drawn to to him as one is to a bad accident.
There exists a hope that no-one could be as dense and as thick, and still be a member of the human family. I have attempted to stay away but sometimes I just can’t stop myself. (Bad remy.)
The fact that he is able to return after some of the horrible epithets addressed to him is truly amazing. It only serves to solidify the opinion that he is, as they say, dumb as a post. I remain of the opinion that he ought not to be fed and fervently wish that he would go to “a better place”.
Then again, he does serve as a bench mark with which to measure one’s patience. Before him, I would never have guessed that such inanity was remotely possible. And, he does make most who encounter him feel superior. I dunno, maybe he’s good for atheists? eeeeewwwwhh
oops! KA?
Fixed it remy.
Time to Stand
“What a stupid comment that atheists try to push their views on theists. If there was no religion, there would be no atheists, but if there was no atheists, you can bet your life that there would still be theists.”
Simple, factual … beautiful.
a shucks i missed it.
Mxracer652
“Creationists (who phred loves) screwed the school curricula, and were punished by a conservative judge (who phred loves).”
Have you ever seen someone grab anothers wrist and start hitting the owner of the wrist with their own hand all the while saying “Why are you hitting yourslef?”.
It’s kind’a like that.
BTW, what is the 652 at the end of your moniker about?
remy: I agree with what you said but can’t stop laughing. “dumb as a post” was good..(actually I’d thought dumber than a box of rocks but I liked your “post” even better) “bad accident” and “egregious nonsense” were a good way to put it also. But what you said last was best..”eeeeewwwwhh” “bench mark with which to measure one’s patience” and “good for atheists” I have to differ with however. Those seem not only to stretch us out of whack but come across as both cruel and brutal expectations. For me “no can do” and not about to.
Comment from: What
And speaking of stupid comments…
You want proof of atheists pushing their views on American institutions?
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=55062
Yeah, an American institution. It’s been around for 100 years. So now exactly who is trying to subvert American culture…?
For all of you who support the ACLU and AA…why not ask for a complete disclosure of their finances? Such as salaries paid out to their officers?
I’ll bet you don’t invest with the same naivete…
Fixed it remy.
Thanks KA.
hominid,
I think perhaps there should be stages of phreddy as there are stages of grief; denial, acceptance etc.
1. Incredulity
2. Flabergastitry
3. HUH?
4. Utter frustration
5. RUFKM
6. Am I awake?
7. Man, that’s just sad.
8. Gnaaaawwww
9. LMAO
10. acceptance
The Boy Scouts….Religious indoctrination in disguise…..Religious Bullshitters hijacking the idea of a good boy walking granny across the street…isnt that nice
F Phreedumbasshole and the boy scouts organization
F you Charlie:
I am an Eagle Scout and out of 7 years in the scouts, only once was any xtianity pushed on me, which of course, I shoved back. Before you condem the entire BSO, perhaps you should get your facts straight. My god is the FSM and NOWHERE does it say you have to be xtian.
Oh and so you don’t feel left out:
F Phreedumbasshole also.
homind you are an idealist.i am not it does not bother me to pretend to be christian and order to enjoy the benefits of living in a christian majority land.i’m not the only one.why would i not be nice to phreedm he is willing to obey the rules and teachings that atheists like me make.yeah we are trying to get believers to treat open atheists better but we don’t have to.stop being so pure join us and enjoy life.
DeepDiver,
But doesn’t the BSA say you must swear in to a god?
p.s. I just got a solicition from VFW to join again and the secular oath of commitment was in there. That just changed a couple of years ago.
reason;
By pretending to be a xtian in order to “fit in”, you become the worst example of an agnostic/atheist (take your pick).
A Hypocrite!
And, by the way, what exactly are these “rules and teachings that atheists like me make”?(the words in quotation marks were yours)
I never needed any rules or teachings to come to the conclusion that religion was bullshit from the age of 5 yrs. old.
The only segment of the population that needs rules and teachings are the theists that are incapable of using their own brain to think for themselves.
When people have to turn to a book of mythology in order to find out what they’re supposed to think, they are no longer thinking for themselves, but for their masters.
I am my own master. I will not be a slave to another’s craving for power.
You have the power to think for yourself!; to stand up for what YOU believe (or don’t believe).
Get out of the closet. If every atheist did, you would see that you are not alone.
C’mon regulars here! Are we men/women or mice? A little discipline in skipping over all posts by phreedm and all posts responding to them will go a long way to getting rid of him. I shouldn’t think it would be that hard. New members can get the message pretty easily just by noticing how all the regulars skip all of it. Gird your loins and go to work on this! Don’t even talk about him to each other (not even about this idea). Just a suggestion, of course.

“A Scout is reverent toward God. He is faithful in his religious duties. He respects the beliefs of others.”
Which god? The key point here is (to me) is “He respects the beliefs of others”
I did not believe in a “God” but believed in mother nature, so I was respectful to all of nature. Did not cut down trees needlessly, did not kill animals needlessly (well except fish, never kill anything for that matter) and I think you get the idea. I respected others no matter what they believed as long as it did not hurt others.
So basically, whatever your belief is, the law just states that you should be respectfull to it and honor it.
I can honestly say, I showed much more respect to nature than xtians did to their god.
tomath,
Point taken. Will do my utmost. May I have permission to call you to the carpet when you succumb?
By the by, if he returns he will have proven that there is No god.
Comment from: 666 [Member]
At least here we have an honest admission…this is precisely what atheism teaches…
There’s no God then.
Comment from: tomath
We’ll definately have a problem here…
Comment from: 666 [Member]
HALLALULIA! He’s back! There is NO god.
remy;
LMAO!
I would say the petard[*1](which in French can be translated as either a [*1]farter or [*2]as a firecracker) has been hoist by his own petard[*2]
I can only guess that when one decides they would rather be another’s slave, they also give up the ability to make any other well thought acts/statements.
DeepDiver….
Im sorry I seem abrasive…..I only have a problem with the Oath Stuff….somthing about God or crap shit…..
The Boy Scout oath pisses me off…..
I have no room for that in a good boy club…..
piece
Thanks, Camp Quest seems to be taking off pretty well even here in Texas. If my son gets interested I’ll take him.
tomath,
Your point has been noted.
The reason why I find atheism so liberating is that we are indeed our own masters and do not defer to an imaginary authoritarian father figure like the followers of the Abrahamic faiths do. This does not mean that I am an anarchist or do not respect secular authority but I am the sort of person who does not need a strong authority figure in my life in order to make decisions or know right from wrong. Faith stops so many people who are otherwise intelligent in all other aspects of their lives from being able to think things through reasonably on many topics that are at odds with their perception of what their particuluar faith demands of them.
