i love that last line about christian leaders being atheists because it is true.for the record i don't approve of atheists engaging in immoral conduct.we should aspire to higher standards then taking advantage of gullible people.

This man obviously does not fear his god. Nobody would risk Hell if they thought it were real, and an affair (DURING the time when he is prosecuting another man for a similar crime) shows he did not take that threat seriously.

Nah, not atheists. They just have a "get out of jail free card". That's what's great about Christianity ? no one has be accountable for anything as long as they repent. That?s what great about heaven ? it places child molesters and their victims together for eternity. What bliss.

If Jeebus was held responsible for all of OUR sins (to satisfy his own blood lust ? figure that one out) then it wouldn't make sense for us to have to pay for them as well. For he so loved the world...blah, blah, blah.

First off, I think Dobson might just have a fet_ish about this kind of stuff. First, Haggard comes out to him, then Gingrich? He must get some joy (or something) out of hearing these salicious stories, no?

Second, as usual, he's able to justify it.

"There were times when I was praying and when I felt I was doing things that were wrong. But I was still doing them," he said in the interview. "I look back on those as periods of weakness and periods that I'm ... not proud of."

Where was his god during all of this? Godammit, he was praying the whole time he was screwing this 20 something hottie. You would think, or hope, that God would at least show some mercy on HER!!!
Sorry guys, this is way off topic but I have to share it. I don't have anyone else to share it with and I'm about to burst.

Check out this link (London Times): http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/middle_east/article1489930.ece

It's a story about a Miss Isreal contestant who was forced to drop out of the competition due to "honor killing" threats by members of her own family. That part is disturbing, but not altogether uncommon.

The parts of the story that really piqued my interest are those that discuss this obscure religious group to which she belongs, called the "Druze".

From the story: "The tenets of the religion are kept secret not just from outsiders but also from the majority of the Druze, who are known as juhal (ignorant ones) and must accept the faith on trust."

Am I alone in having never heard of this group? How ironic is it that they actually have a specific word to apply to their followers that means ignorant ones?
