That’s right, the Grand Canyon was created by the biblical flood. At least according to the Bush Administration and therefore, the National Park Service who runs the federal Grand Canyon National Park and sells books like: Grand Canyon: A Different View. So as US taxpayers, we are being forced to fund a federal government gone stark raving crazy for creationism and religion.As one park geologist said, this is equivalent of Yellowstone National Park selling a book entitled Geysers of Old Faithful: Nostrils of Satan

Thanks for posting Shermer’s retraction on the PEER story.
It’s no surprise that the religious right does not have a monopoly on misinformation, but it’s nice to see that Shermer will ‘fess up when he realizes he’s been duped. It’s also a message to all of the value of skepticism.
