http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15912456/Well, this is just silly. The bad news is that we ultimately will, as we are lumped in with the Satanists by the ignorant, take heat for this bunk. So, for the record, this is private property, and it’s not satanic or antitheistic. The complainer is ignorant to the absurd level. Leave the lady alone and let her hang her wreath.

phreddy:
I’m w/Tom – Kearns obviously has anger management/control issues.
Telling people they have to take down a decoration on their private property is also over the top.
Complaining about it, however, is not.
phreedm, regarding your story about the church chiming……
I’d have complained a lot sooner. And religion wouldn’t have anything to do with it. Of course, it’s a “decades old” tradision, so I wouldn’t have moved there to begin with.
Fact is, they wouldn’t let ANYONE else disturb the peace in that manner (that’s what it is, church bells or not)
But, every hour on the hour not stop 24/7? You’ve got to be kidding me. I wouldn’t care what it was, I’d shoot the speakers out.
Peace & Quiet………aaaahhhh, the sweet sound.
I’m curious, if it wasn’t a church, would you be in favor of the bells all day every day?
the catholic/protestant christmas has become a joke.the orthodox christmas is a more true christian holiday.the claim that atheists wage war on christmas is just fear we will cause the spending to stop.it all boils down to money.
My neighbors hung wind chimes around their entire house. One giant set is only a few feet from my house. Every time the wind blows, I get marinated in “heavy metal” noise. Add to this a racecar engine, several pickups without mufflers, the continuous drone of Walmart trucks in the distance, backyard wrestling matches (complete with screaming “obscenities”thru a PA system) in summer and subwoofers at random, at any hour.
Isn’t this typical?
