I think there must be some type of religious contest between the Neo-Cons and the Jehovah Witnesses to see who can predict the end of the world. Both have failed,and continue to fail ,but their mindless followers remain just that,inspite of all the bogus rhetoric that spews forth from their leaders.

Hey everyone, (new member/first post)

What really bugs me about the whole christian prophecy thing is that xtians use "filled prophecies" as evidence that they are right. Because there's no way to fight them; when you point out that some of them haven't all you get for a response is "Yet."

So I thought I would show off my divine powers by making some prophecies that will be filled soon, no 2000 year wait.

All of these will happen in the next twenty years.

1. There will be a war.
2. A religous leader will die
3. A political leader will die
4. There will be a new standard media format
5. There will be a new pope
6. It will be warmer
7. There will be a new city somewhere
8. There still will be no evidence for a god.

If these don't come true in 20 years, Then I will admit that I don't have divine powers. However, if they do, it proves that I do.... doesn't it..?

I have a prediction...

I predict the world will end when the sun finally "burns" off its Hydrogen fuel, expands into a red giant, and swallows the earth ? in about 4 or 5 billion years.

If I'm correct, I will be revered as a prophet. : )

I guess I still have to go to the dentist and get my teeth cleaned today, what with the world not ending as promised. My dentist is going to be one of the raptured people. I’d go somewhere else, but he’s a very good dentist and it’s a small town.

They never do give a money-back guarantee on those threats…er…uh, promises, do they?

I know, it's ALWAYS a struggle. Art is SO subjective-or rather appreciation of it is.

The world was supposed to end yesterday? Goodness. And I wouldn?t have even known why the fiery angels or whatever were flying by my window!

DVanWechel and Ryan, I think you both have plausible platforms for prophet-ship. However, DVanWechel, you made the oh-so-prophet-like decision to predict something that clearly won?t happen within anyone on this board?s lifetime. I must thus, like Karen, throw my lot in with your predictions. I did, however, find Ryan?s #7 quite appealing, especially if he?d tell me where this new city will be located so I can go buy up all the land and sell it at a hefty profit. (profits from the prophet?)
