Who is Phil Paulson? Who is his attorney? San Diego cross-plaintiff to what?

    more info please.

Does anyone watch the show “30 days” (its the show with the guy from “Super-Size Me”). Each episode follows some fish-outta water situation (30 days in jail, a minute-man’s 30 days living with an immigrant family, etc.)

Anyway, the new season starts tonight and one episode has an atheist join some nutjob congregation for 30 days.

    Could be interesting.

    I particularly like the photo.

That’s the first time I actually have seen a picture of the thing. It’s ugly as all hell – a freakin’ eyesore. Why would they want to keep the horrid thing?

  5. godless says:

Speaking of eyesores… yep, right off the highway north of Cincinnati. On private property though. I just want to know how you get a permit to build a 62-ft jesus bust. 8000 hours to build this. Maybe time would have been better served building housed for Habitat for Humanity instead.

Yeeeeesh! Wonder what that sucker cost? And what purpose does it serve? Is it not an idol?

You’re correct. Time and money would’ve been better spent on HfH instead.

Maybe someone will vandalize it and turn it into the “Jesus flipping two birds to the sky” statue.
    Hey, a girl can dream…

  7. godless says:

My friends refer to it as “touchdown jesus”. As we drove by one day one of my kids (who was 3 at the time) said “Hey dad, why does that guy say Who Dey?” I died laughing. I don’t every recall refering to it as TD jesus in front of the kids. I was amazed that he made the connection to watching football.

Yeah I’ve seen that thing. The money question is very astute. I mean, houldn’t they be spending that money on good works like, oh I don’t know, feeding the poor, ending homelessness, fighting for better wages for workers…
You know, something that would actually better mankind?
    And we’re the heathens!

I caught this segment just in time to see that dingbat lady holding the “Stop the Hate” sign. Man, what a backwards country we are living in.

  10. brodie says:

It would be better if they had a “buddy christ” from “Dogma”. Not sure if they would get the joke though.

Looks more like a crazy homeless guy to me. Needs some color though.

Could someone please tell me what happened with O’Rielly vs Atheist.

As a general rule, I don’t watch little pricks like this, but I did go looking for what I could find.

    Not Much.

This little spot here that includes the video:

    http://mediamatters.org/items/200607270002

but this site exists mostly to rip O’Reilly for being such an ass.

but, listen to the video. BO is an ass.

  14. godless says:

Thanks Bones! I’ve been looking all over too.
It doesn’t seem that the whole segment is in the video, but rather shorted to focus on the ignorant comment made by Bill O’Reilly about the meaning of the Red Cross. He really should be ashamed of himself. I cannot imagine that he did not know he was giving a false statement about what the red cross symbolizes. Checking it on the Red Cross web site, only took me 30 sec. Shame, shame, shame O’Reilly!

Religious wingnuts only see what they want to see. That’s why they’re religious wingnuts.

That attorney is on the board of directors of the anti-Gentilist hate group called the Southern Poverty Law Center. That group of jew supremacists are a danger to the survival of the Republic.
