I would be doing research, but I’m leaving for the beach today. I will be back probably Monday. The evidense for the Young Earth idea is just demolishing. The site I posted eairler did not take sides or a bias, but they did report many evidenses that the Young Earth Theory is wrong. Such as to Young Earh Creationist said Humans and Neaderthals were one in the same. Recent DNA studies have prove that false. I will return next monday.

I doubt you’ll find too many people here (esp atheists) who would disagree that the Young Earth idea is, well, just plain silly.
We’d agree with the old earth theory, just don’t see a god as necessary, nor any evidence of said god.
Sure a god could have created the inital spark that started life, but then that would make it a fairly impotent god. How much more reasonable that the spark had a natural cause in a fairly active and reactive universe.
I kind of like the idea that we could just be an experiment. But as far as the concept of said god being able to influence individuals lives, well we all know where we stand on that one. The next big break through will be in abiogenesis when they get a working model for RNA replication. That will push god back to the beginning of the universe, which incidently string theory has a few ideas about.

you know i have always thought that the best evidence against a god is the bible itself. why would some all powerful being go through all the trouble of playing games with us by sending a son to represent him instead of just showing his own mug.
