I love the wings on the bird analogy. I've never heard that before.
Anyway, great letter! Terrific job of telling it how it is. Hope it gets through even one thick xtian skull.
Wish I could write a letter like that to my local paper, but I'm afraid of the repercussions.
Thanks, Dave! You do such a great job of representing us all.

When will the Christian persecution complex end? They control basically everthing and yet they feel like they are the "David" when they are really the "Goliath".

This was one of my favorite quotes from this article:

"We are facing, like we never have before, this hostility against the people of God," roared Lusk, a former running back for the Philadelphia Eagles and the leader of a church whose community outreach work has received more than $1 million in federal funding from President Bush's faith-based initiatives program.
Amazing how you can get a million dollars from the gov't, yet still feel persecuted!

Good job David! Glad you're out there representing us.
It was an excellent piece until the gratuitious "let's pander to the right-wing by mentioning the evil Middle East" reference, so I'll give it an A-.
Yes I agree, it is a fine piece of writing except for the common enemy in the Middle East reference. Remember the only enemies the US has have been created by US policy. Fight Poverty not War.
