Pasta-riffic!

Congrats to the FSM crowd for a great write-up in today’s USA Today. Nice article! Here’s the link, (thanks Flav)Then I saw the news article in the same paper blasting the Christians for calling our relationship a “war”. I’m beginning to like this paper.

I wonder if the FSM gospel would be a good way to communicate to my sister just how silly her religion sounds to me?

So does that make Robert Louis Stevenson an Arch Bishop?

Hmm. Maybe the author of a gospel. Which maybe better.

Treasure Island was the first book I read.

I think Long Jhon Silver must be some kind of wise man, or at least a Prophet.

I like the idea. Now we just have to index it like a gospel so that it’s passages can be quoted correctly.

We can then interpret each passage as we see fit and base our morality on said interpetations.

Just got the book for 13 bucks at Amazon. Rock. Even posted a blog about it.

Ramen, what a day! The Gospel of the FSM is published,
    and…
    especially for Goose…
an alternative theory on the crucifixion, covered on the Today Show this morning! ;)

The Pastafarians need a promised land, given them by FSM, cheese be upon him. Where dost thou meat sauciness wish for poor strainers like us to call home?

Does the book mention wheather adherants are to meet in Italian or Chinese restaurants?

Are you Pastas gonna revolt now that the FSM’s picture was posted in the USA today and start burning down embassies around the globe and build Olive Garden and Papa Gino shrines in thier place..Well better them than Dominos!

I don’t think FSM would sanction riots, as I hear he is a benevolent wheat entity. However, I’m not certain it is proper to refer to him in the masculine. Anyone?

    Ren-

I could make a comment that could be construed as sexist here about some of the features of the FSM, but I think I’ll hold it back. ^_~

I’ve said it before. Those are Her egg masses. You can tell by the eyestalks that She is a crustacean invertebrate.

Heresy and apostasy, here we go. All marks of a true religious experience.

Science typically builds to a consensus.
Religion typically scisms away from consensus.

    Holy crap.
I was looking up wheat (which his Noodly goodness is composed of), & found this out:

    * Common Wheat or Bread wheat – (T. aestivum) A hexaploid species that is the most widely cultivated in the world.
    * Einkorn – (T. monococcum) A diploid species with wild and cultivated variants. One of the earliest cultivated but rarely planted today.
    * Emmer – (T. dicoccon) A tetraploid species, cultivated in ancient times but no longer in widespread use.
    * Durum – (T. durum) The only tetraploid form of wheat widely used today.
    * Kamut? or QK-77 – (T. polonicum or T. durum) A trademarked tetraploid species grown in small quantities that is extensively marketed. Originally from the Middle East
    * Spelt – (T. spelta) Another hexaploid species cultivated in limited quantities.

Of which of these kinds of wheat is Ramen made of?

Diploid = 2 sets of chromosomes.
Tetraploid = Having four times the haploid number of chromosomes in the cell nucleus: a tetraploid species.

We got sectarian splits here, people!

    Plus, dare I say it?

    An intersexual deity.

Imagine my delight when walking into the work break room today and discovering an entire crate of Ramen Cup O’ Noodle Instant Lunches (really)! Oh his Noodly greatness in his wisdom has sent this gift to me as proof of his ever loving kindness and to push aside any lingering doubts I may have had about his holiness, cheese be upon him. I must now build an altar in the lunch room and ask all believers to worship the box of noodles.

    Flying Spaghetti Monsterism (FSM)

    The Monster of Flying Spaghetti,

    Is all powerful, yet nice,
    full of flavoursome spice,
And unlike ‘other’ gods, is not petty.
