Awesome. Wonder how long of a walk it is from Oklahoma? Maybe I can come.

Seriously, though, sounds good.

New poster here (please be gentle) and relatively new member of AA, although an atheist for going on 30 years now. This sounds like a great opportunity and I hope to make the trip from up here in Portland.

Perhaps 'anti-historians' is the wrong wording? I think 'anti-Jesus historians' would be better...'anti-historians' sounds like they warp history or something.

Dave, did you hear about that book "Misquoting Jesus"?. I'd really like to dig into that one. Have a good time at the convention. I won't be there. Maybe if you have one in NJ or in NC I would be there if I could go... just to lend support. If FreakGirl goes with the Greater Czarina, then it would be for fun!

Holy crap, that's not far from me either. I'm in Hayward. I may even be able to BART to it.
Sir Elderberry:
Oaklahoma? Dude, you got my sympathies. That's tough turf for an atheist, ain't it?
Hey... I'm new here... well, not new-new. I've been reading the Blog for several months (at least 6 or 7). I figured it was time to join the fray !

I've been an atheist all my life... and even a couple of fundy foster fathers with thick leather belts couldn't change that.

I am so glad to find a forum where atheists and theists can debate the issues intelligently, and I'm looking forward to taking part in the discussion.

No... on topic... I'd love to attend the Athesit Meet. Odds are a combination of work and the duties of a mom will keep me from making the journey...

But it would be fun !!
Exactly...very perceptive of you. But then again, the Truth is always ignored.
