Isolationism? Who the hell is arguing for isolationism? If you are against a particular war, or at least the conduct of that war, how exactly does that add up to ‘isolationism?’ And notice how he’s sneaking in references to the whole anti-globalization movement – as if the Iraq war was just another trade agreement. And what exactly is ‘protectionism’, anyway? W’s always reminding us that his job to ‘protect’ us, so could he just be referring to himself?

I just find it interesting that he’s making accusations of ‘isolationism’ – this coming from probably the most isolated administration in history. Which party walks away from international treaties and agreements? Which party ignores prevailing scientific wisdom in favor of the isolated opinions of a handful of ideologues and corporate whores? Which party prefers unilateral action to international law? Which party restricts access to the press, suppresses information, and actively destroys the careers of dissenting voices?
