Dave’s opinion:So let me get this straight…The alito nomination is coming to a head, with top Senate Dems coming out in opposition.At the same time, Bush’s rating is very low.At the same time, Multi-billionairre Osama makes a threat, via audio-tape. I guess he can’t afford a camcorder.How often do political issues have to coincide with vague terrorist threats before we really wonder just how real these threats are?
I guess I did a terrible job of conveying my thoughts. I have nothing against animals. I just think that people are more important but I didn’t mean we should be alone. I think it is a priority thing is all. If we cared about each other the way we sem to care about a wayward whale then this would be a better place for US AND the whales.
I agree with notyourdaddy. Animals other than people are nice to have around and we need them all to even stay alive! People who think animals are lesser than people should go out in the wild and see that very few animals wage meaningless wars. The best thing about animals is that there is not one theist animal unless you count people but people are animals too.

I disagree. I think you are missing something. The point is that people care, period. Show me someone who cares about a whale and I’ll show you someone who wants to save the world. Show me someone who doesn’t care about saving a stupid whale and I’ll show you someone doesn’t give a damn about anything.
