Coal mine tragedy:
Before we learned that 12 men were in fact dead, we were shown, ad nauseam, testimonials from that little church where people were praying like mad to have their loved ones saved. They spoke to the camera and said they knew they were OK because god was with them, they had faith, god would make a miracle. Then we saw shots of their ecstacy when several hours later they thought everyone was alive.
?It?s a miracle?, over and over, as they witnessed the power of their (stinking little) god and the power of their faith. How they knew all along god would keep them safe, how they had felt it, and god had not let them down.
Cut to the next morning.
