Psychologist James Dobson, noted for his conservative agenda, citicized the Republican controlled congress saying the GOP was responsible for slipping poll numbers. Speaking on Hannity and Colmes, Dobson said, “I’m telling you that the House and the Senate have not passed one single piece of legislation that I’m aware of that deals with the social issues that they ran on. There has been nothing. The Senate has confirmed judges, and I will give them credit for that. But beyond that, there’s very little.”

If the GOP starts following Dobson's agenda verbatim, they'll be lucky be lucky to get 15% in the polls. Given that, I kinda hope they take his 'advice.'

The recent Pat Robertson threats to the School Board of Dover for rejecting ID has received no attention here. This recent xtian attempt to intimidate shows the church is a terrorist organization. Terrorism is an attempt to use fear to control behavior. Robertson is using gawd to threaten Dover with disaster in an attempt to create fear in Dover. But, the church has gotten away with this terrorist tactic for so long I suppose no one notices

Actually, the subject has come up, as well as the story about Bill O’Reilly damning San Francisco. I believe it was r4d who brought it up. But we don’t have a thread on it. Haven’t had any new threads in a few days cos Dave’s been away at the Foxholes event.

It’s all about terror and control.
I’m reading an excellent book on the subject right now called “End of Faith” by Sam Harris. Very hard to put down. I hate that only 200 or so showed up for this last event, but I guess it’s a starting place. I wonder how many would have come if it had been held here in East Tennessee. It’s hard to come out of the closet and be seen as an atheist here in the mid section of the bible belt. I like to think there’s strength in numbers, but the number are hidden here.
